Michelle Briley is a native of Nacogdoches, Texas. As a 2000 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, she fulfilled her lifetime dream of obtaining an Interdisciplinary Studies Degree with a double major in English. Michelle began her career as a first-grade teacher in Corrigan ISD where she taught for seven years. Currently, she is the Business Development Officer for the Angelina Market of Commercial Bank of Texas, serving seven bank branches. She is the immediate Past President of the Board for The Salvation Army of Lufkin and the immediate Past President of the Board for The Mosaic Center. She also serves as the Secretary of Impact Lufkin. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Lufkin, a member of the Angelina College Foundation Board, a member of the Angelina County Child Welfare Board, and a Chamber Diplomat. Michelle is a graduate of the 2012 Leadership Lufkin Class, and she received Chamber Diplomat of the Year in 2018. She has served as President of the Junior League of Lufkin and President of Angelina Rotary Club. She was named the Junior League Volunteer of the Year in 2014 and was inducted into the Rotary District 5910 Hall of Fame in 2018. Michelle was named one of the 21 Influential Women of 2021 by Councilman Robert Shankle. She is an active member of Timbercreek Church where she serves as a Greeter Team Leader. Michelle and her husband Clint have been married for 19 years, and they have a 16-year-old son, Brett.
